AGILITY – The Indispensable Trait of the 21st Century

Agility is the ability to operate well in any role or system of thinking and, most importantly, see the world from the perspectives of the other roles. It is this ability to think and act in a number of different ways that gives us our agility. As you begin this journey, please remember one extremely important point: there is no perfect personality style to be agile.

Agility is about bending, blending, flexing and focusing your style on the situation at hand, rather than making the situation fit your style or comfort zone. It can be extremely creative, challenging and, ultimately, one of the more rewarding aspects of the new global business paradigm.

Effective performers need to be able to interpret and communicate organizational clarity and business priority across a broad spectrum of people, cultures and operating modes. Our highest purpose should be to set a course for success and reinforce mutual accountability, growth and development.

Regardless of your particular style, profile, experience, “personality” or history, you have the ability to develop the agility required to be a great performer – think Cirque du Soleil trapeze artist!

What matters most is:

  • Your own self-awareness and self-management

  • Your ability to adapt your own personal style

  • Tapping into your own wellspring of motivation for setting and achieving BIG goals, as well as helping and supporting others to do the same

As a key to unlocking the insights required to achieving these outcomes, we utilize the Birkman Method in our coaching.
